Christmas Eve

My Favorite Part about Christmas
other than my wonderful family and friends...and kitty
is the tree.
Every year we get a fresh cut tree from Highlands, NC
and decorate with ornaments from our childhood.

This year mom put over 1600 lights
on the tree
...never enough.

I also have my own
ballerina tree

which I may leave up year round...

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Four more days till Florida. I can't wait to see some sunshine and coastline.
I can't wait to see my grandparents, and spend quality time
with the family.
I haven' t been to the beach since last winter break, so I will definitely be applying
LOTS
of sunscreen.

Just started this wonderful novel.
I need to find a beach read now.

Black Swan

Black Swan is by far the best film of the year,
and my new favorite movie.
I can't wait to see all the awards it WILL receive
at the Academy awards.

Darren Aronofsky is an amazing director,
and my artist crush.
Vincent Cassel, whom played Thomas, the artistic director
embodied the role.

Natalie Portman did an amazing job, and was as
graceful and strong
as a true dancer.

Benjamin Millepied, the leading male dancer in the film
is NataliePortman's leading man
on and off screen.
What a wonderful dancer and choreographer he is.

Nice List

I've had my eyes on these high-waisted skinnies. They are perfect dressed up or down. Every college girls dream. So adorable for class when paired with a flannel.

I love these feminine teal heels from Anthropologie. I love the gold, ruffle detail.

I love this polka-dotted rabbit book end. Who doesn't want a forest creature to nuzzle their favorite reads. I also love these vintage-esque remake of classic novels like Sense and Sensibility. Who says you can't judge a book by it's cover?

I hope I've been good this year!

Finals are here...

Finals are here...and just as quickly they are over. After endless weeks of paper writing, rehearsals, juries, studying, tests, coffee, and late nights...Christmas break is finally upon us! After my last final (which is from 7 to 10 tonight!) my good friend, Kaycee Land, and I will be celebrating by drinking wine and watching the ever classic DUMB AND DUMBER. What a way to blow off some mental steam and a reminder that yes...we do have brains...
most of the time. Have a lovely Friday!
